The brass does have a patina. Please see photo's. The brass has a detailed design. The four handles look to be bronze, only a guess. Note: The the bottom brass tray has four small holes, not sure of there function. The base tray in center has tarnished over the years, the area is covered when the vessel is in place. Measurements:
