You can easily loosen the screw to rotate the bracket, to achieve the optimal orientation of the sensor, if you do not remove the adhesive backing. This is designed to fit a #6 screw, but a #8 may also work. I recommend a "flat" style head (the ones that are inverted conical), so as you tighten the screw, it not only holds it to the wall
